Once we've approved you, the next step is connecting your bank account so we can pay you for completed jobs. We use Stripe Connect — the same payouts infrastructure used by Deliveroo, Just Eat, Substack, and thousands of other UK platforms. Stripe is a fully regulated payment institution; Zuno never holds your bank details directly.
Where you start the flow
On the Wallet page (in the top nav once you're approved) you'll see a "Set Up Payments" card. Pressing it takes you to a dedicated page where Stripe's onboarding loads inside the Zuno page — you're never redirected away from us. The browser tab still shows zuno.uk.com throughout.
What Stripe will ask you for
Stripe collects what they're legally required to collect under UK money-services regulations. Have these ready before you start:
- Your email address (pre-filled from your Zuno account).
- Your phone number — Stripe will text a 6-digit code to confirm it.
- Your full legal name and date of birth.
- Your home address (the address on your bank statement).
- A short business description. If Stripe asks for a website, look for the "Don't have a website? Add product description instead" link and enter "car cleaning".
- Your bank sort code and account number — the account you want payouts to land in.
Stripe may also ask for a few additional details depending on your business structure (e.g. company UTR for limited companies). It guides you through each prompt.
How long it takes
Most operatives finish the Stripe form in about 5 minutes if all their details are to hand. Stripe verifies your bank in real-time; you'll see "Payouts active" inside the Stripe panel before you leave it.
What happens when you finish
You'll see a green "Payment setup complete" banner inside the Zuno page. After a couple of seconds you'll be redirected back to your dashboard. The whole post-approval path is:
approve → wallet setup → dispatchable.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Your bank details and personal information are submitted directly to Stripe — they pass through our page but we don't capture or store them. Stripe is regulated by the FCA in the UK and processes payments for some of the largest platforms in the world.
If you see a request for information that feels unusual (e.g. identity verification you've already done), it's because Stripe performs its own checks separately from ours. That's normal and expected.
Updating your bank details later
Once setup is complete, you don't repeat the embedded onboarding flow to make changes. Instead, on the Wallet page you'll see a "Manage Payout Details" button that takes you to your Stripe dashboard in a new tab. From there you can change the bank account, update business details, or view past payouts.
If something goes wrong mid-flow
If the embedded panel shows an amber "Onboarding paused" message, press Try Again — most interruptions are transient. If the panel won't load at all, or if Stripe rejects a detail you're sure is correct, email [email protected] and we'll investigate.
