    How job offers work

How dispatch finds you, how long you have to accept, and what happens after you do.

Once you're approved and set up for payouts, you're eligible to receive job offers. This page explains how dispatch decides who sees what, how the timing works, and what happens when you accept.

    How we find you

When a customer books, our dispatch system looks for operatives who match a set of criteria — primarily distance from the booking postcode, but also vehicle-tier (some vehicles require operatives with extra clearance), and whether you're available on the booking day.

The dispatch system starts with operatives within 5 miles, expands to 7 miles after a short delay, then to 10 miles. 10 miles is the hard cap — beyond that we don't fan out, even if the booking goes unfilled. The postcode you entered at signup is the centre of that radius; you can update it from your Account screen.

    How you'll be notified

    • A push notification on the Zuno Operative app, if you have the app and have allowed notifications.
    • SMS to the phone number on your account.
    • Email to your account email.
    • A new job-offer card on your operative dashboard.

When a customer books between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM (UK time), we hold the job and send it out to operatives from 7:00 AM the next morning, on every channel: app notifications, SMS and email.

    The accept window

When you receive an offer, the job-offer card shows you the customer's first name, the postcode (general area, not the exact street), the service (Outer, Inner or Whole), the vehicle, the date and time window, and what you'll earn.

If you want it, press Accept. The job is yours immediately and the dashboard moves the card into your Active Jobs.

Offers are first come, first served: the same job goes to every eligible operative in range at once, and whoever accepts first gets it. If you don't want it you can press Decline, or simply leave it. Doing nothing is not a "no" you have to press; silence is fine. The card stays on your dashboard until someone accepts the job or it is cancelled.

    After you accept

You become responsible for the job. The full booking details appear — the exact address, the vehicle's registration, any notes the customer left, and the precise booking window.

Operatives don't contact customers directly. All communication routes through Zuno — if anything needs to be passed on (you're running late, you've arrived and can't find the car, anything else), email [email protected] and we'll relay it.

Once accepted, you can't unilaterally decline. If something genuinely prevents you from attending, contact support straight away — the earlier you tell us, the more chance we have to re-dispatch the job to another operative without the customer being affected.

    "I haven't seen offers in a while"

Job matching is based on your registered location and the area around it, so a quiet patch doesn't always mean there's no work on the platform. A few things can affect whether you're being matched:

    • Compliance status. Check your dashboard for any red banners. If your insurance or right-to-work has expired, dispatch is paused until you re-confirm it.
    • Outstanding onboarding steps. Make sure you've completed everything required to be matched.
    • Time of year. Demand naturally varies through the year — some weeks are busier than others.

If none of these seem to explain it, get in touch and we'll check your dispatch eligibility from our side.
